Speaking of the February issue, here is a sneak peak at some of the content we'll be including for our first issue of 2014:
Interview with Noah Hutton, founder of The Beautiful Brain and director of Bluebrain, a 10 year documentary in the making about the various international efforts to map the human brain.
Feature of Suzanne Anker's show, "While Darkness Sleeps", at The MAC in Dallas, Texas.
Our On Topic article "Techno-Romance: Technophobia to Technophilia in Science-Fiction movies," is an in depth history of science fiction featuring discussions of Spike Jonze "Her" (2013), Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" (1927), Michael Anderson's "1984" (1956), Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968), and Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" (1982). The article explores the transformation of science fiction from its historical origins in the early 20th century defined by machine alienation to its contemporary ethos of machine love.
Review of The Art Catalyst's most recent project, "Republic of the Moon," and many more!
The issue comes out February 3rd. Enjoy our blog until then and Happy reading.
