Scott McIntire's "Seen and Unseen" is a collection of 40 drawings and paintings that are on view April 7-28, 2018, at Jamesport New York's William Ris Gallery. McIntire's work reveals the energy fields - from cellular transmissions to radio waves to microbiome sound waves - which act as an invisible connector in our natural and technological world.
With a focus on flora and insects, McIntire highlights the species that are easy to overlook through overlaid compositions informed by design principles, color theory, and Op Art. McIntire's work is meticulous, thoughtful, and wildly colorful - he gives a unique and scientifically informed update to the practice of painter's looking to the natural world for subject and inspiration.

Join the artist at the opening reception Saturday, April 7 from 4-7pm, or for the artist talk on Saturday, April 21, from 2-4pm.
